Rear Diffuser Installation Guide

Rear Diffuser Installation Guide

Step 1: Gather the Necessary Tools

  • Scissors: Used to cut 3M tape into slices for easier application.
  • Included Double-Sided Tape: Provided in the package, but we also recommend using 1-inch wide 3M tape for a stronger bond.
  • Screwdriver or Drill: Required for securing the diffuser with the included screws.
  • Another Person: Having an extra set of hands will make installation easier and more precise.

Step 2: Clean and Prep the Installation Surface

  • Ensure the application surface is free of dirt, dust, or grease.
  • Wipe down the Diffuser to remove any residue or contaminants.
  • Make sure the surface is completely dry and cool before proceeding with installation.

Step 3: Prepare the Rear Diffuser

  • We highly recommend using a 1-inch wide roll of 3M tape for additional adhesion.
  • Cut multiple pieces of 3M tape and apply them evenly along the edges of all three diffuser sections.

Step 4: Align and Install the Diffuser

  • Peel off the tape backing: Remove the backing from the 3M tape applied to the diffuser.
  • Start with the middle piece: Align the center section of the diffuser with the stock diffuser. - Ask someone to hold it in place while you begin securing it.
  • Secure with screws: Drill the screws through the marked locations on the diffuser and into the stock panel. - Ensure the screws are evenly spaced for proper stability.
  • Attach the side pieces: Repeat the same steps for the left and right side pieces. - Make sure both side pieces align correctly with the middle piece for a flush and secure fitment.

Final Inspection

  • Check that the diffuser sits securely and evenly aligned with the stock panel.
  • Press along the taped areas to reinforce adhesion.
  • Ensure all screws are properly tightened, but do not overtighten to avoid damage.

Post-Installation Guidelines

  • Do not wash the car or expose it to extreme conditions for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
  • Periodically check the screws and tape to ensure the diffuser remains secure over time.
