Step 4: Test-Fit the Side Skirts
- Hold each side skirt against the rocker panel to check alignment.
- Make any necessary adjustments to ensure a proper fit.
Step 5: Apply Adhesion Promoter
- Lightly coat the areas on the side skirt where the double-sided tape will be placed.
- Use sparingly to avoid damaging the paint.
Step 6: Attach the Double-Sided Mounting Tape

- Keep the tape backing on until you are ready to secure the skirt to the vehicle.
Step 7: Position and Align the Side Skirts
- Carefully align the side skirt with the rocker panel.
- Check alignment from front to back and top to bottom before securing.
Step 8: Secure the Tape
- Peel away a small portion of the tape backing.
- Press the exposed tape firmly against the rocker panel.
- Continue peeling and pressing until the entire length is secured.
Step 9: (Optional) Apply Adhesion Promoter to the Car
- For an even stronger bond, apply a thin layer of adhesion promoter to the rocker panel itself.
- Use a minimal amount.
Step 10: Drill and Install Self-Tapping Screws
- Pre-drill pilot holes if needed, then insert the self-tapping screws.
- Space them evenly along the underside of the skirt.
- Avoid overtightening to prevent damage.
Perform a Final Inspection
- Check that the side skirt sits flush against the rocker panel.
- Press along the taped areas if you notice any gaps.
Post-Installation Guidelines
- Do not wash the car or drive at high speeds for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to cure.
